How do I create an account?
From the website, with your email address and a password. It is free.
Is ComicSwap available in English?
These information pages are. The web app is in Spanish for now, and the English version is on its way. If you get stuck, write to us and we will help.
Does my web account work in the app?
Yes, it is the same account. When the Android app comes out, you log in with your email and password and find everything there.
I cannot log in
Write to soporte@comicswap.app from the email address you signed up with and we will help you.
How do I delete my account?
From your profile, or by following the steps in Delete account.
Collection
How do I add a comic?
Type the ISBN, search for it by title or add it by hand. In the app you will also be able to scan the barcode or take a photo of the cover.
My comic does not show up
This is common with older material and with American single issues, which often have no ISBN or are missing from bibliographic databases. It also happens more with Italian and English-language editions. Add it by hand: that record then becomes available to everyone else.
Can others see my whole collection?
No. They only see the copies you make available for sale or swap.
My collection is in Excel. Do I have to type it all in?
No, you can import it (page in Spanish).
Finding, swapping and selling
How do I find out if someone has what I am looking for?
Add it to your list. When someone makes it available, you get an alert.
How do I contact someone who has a comic?
Show interest in their copy. If the owner accepts, a chat opens between the two of you.
Who sets the price and the shipping?
You do. ComicSwap puts you in touch and takes no commission. You agree on payment and shipping between yourselves.
Can I swap or sell with someone in another country?
Yes, but ComicSwap does not handle shipping or payments. Agree on everything beforehand, use a tracked service and pack the comics in rigid packaging.
What do I do if something goes wrong with another user?
You can block and report them from ComicSwap. Read our community guidelines too.
Estimated value
How is the value of a copy calculated?
Based on the specific edition and the condition you declare. It is an estimated range, not a professional appraisal. Each copy can be valued again once a month.
