These terms govern the use of the ComicSwap app and the comicswap.app website. By creating an account you accept what is explained here. If you do not agree with any of these points, do not use the service.

2. What ComicSwap is
ComicSwap is an app for comic collectors that lets you catalogue your collection, keep a wish list, discover copies that other people offer for sale or swap, and get in touch with them.
3. What ComicSwap is NOT
ComicSwap is a meeting point, not an intermediary.
The app puts you in touch with other collectors and that is where its role ends. We do not handle prices, payments, shipping, carriers, insurance, deadlines, parcel tracking or confirmations of receipt.
Everything two users agree between themselves (the price, the payment method, how the comic is delivered and what happens if something goes wrong) is a private agreement between the two of them, outside ComicSwap, governed by their own will and by the law applicable to that agreement.
Consequently, ComicSwap is not a party to those transactions, does not hold them in custody, does not retain funds, does not arbitrate disputes and is not liable for their outcome. Nor does it guarantee that the comics offered exist, that their condition is as described, or that the other person will keep to what was agreed.
This does not mean we wash our hands of it: if someone repeatedly fails to keep their word or acts in bad faith, you can report them and we will act on their account in accordance with the Community guidelines. What we cannot do is give you back money that never went through us.
4. Who can use ComicSwap
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You must register with truthful information and an email address you have access to.
- One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to get around blocks or sanctions is not allowed.
- You are responsible for your password and for everything that happens in your account. If you suspect someone has accessed it, let us know at soporte@comicswap.app.
5. How you must use the service
By using ComicSwap you agree not to:
- Offer counterfeit material, unauthorised reproductions, scans or pirated copies.
- Publish false information about the condition, edition or authenticity of a copy.
- Impersonate another person or use photos that are not of your own copies.
- Use the chat to send advertising, spam, chain messages or fraudulent links.
- Harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against other users.
- Extract data from the app on a massive scale by automated means.
- Try to access other people's accounts or parts of the system not intended for the public.
6. The content you upload
Your collection is yours. By uploading photos, descriptions or notes, you only authorise us to store them and show them within ComicSwap so that the service works: so that you can see your collection, so that other users can see what you offer, and so that wish list alerts can find matches. This authorisation is free of charge, non-exclusive, and ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not use your photos for advertising purposes or pass them on to third parties.
7. Comic data from third parties
The covers, synopses, records and price references shown in the app come from external sources such as the Biblioteca Nacional de España, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, DILVE, Google Books, Open Library, Comic Vine, ISBNdb, Brave Search, eBay and Google Programmable Search. They are provided for information and identification purposes. We do not guarantee their accuracy, and they are no substitute for a professional appraisal. Texts generated by artificial intelligence (synopses, descriptions, valuations) are marked as such, and you should check them before relying on them. Trademarks and rights in the works belong to their respective owners.
8. Free accounts and Premium subscription
- The free account lets you catalogue a collection with no limit on copies, use the wish list and its alerts, and contact other users.
- The Premium subscription adds the estimated value of the collection, statistics and extended access to the artificial intelligence features. It costs €2.99 a month, taxes included. The artificial intelligence features are subject to reasonable monthly usage limits, on both the free account and Premium, to keep the service sustainable.
- New accounts get a 30-day Premium trial free of charge, with no need to enter any payment method. When the trial ends, your account becomes a free account unless you decide to subscribe.
- Subscribing, payment, automatic renewal and cancellation are handled by Google Play if you subscribe in the app, or by the payment page of RevenueCat and Stripe if you subscribe on the website, in accordance with their own terms. If you subscribed on Google Play, you can cancel the renewal at any time from the subscription settings of your Google account; if you subscribed on the website, from the management link in your purchase confirmation email or by writing to soporte@comicswap.app.
- Refunds and the fourteen-day right of withdrawal granted to you by consumer law are exercised through Google Play, under its refund policy, if you subscribed in the app; if you subscribed on the website, by writing to soporte@comicswap.app within that period. If you withdraw after having started to use Premium, the proportion corresponding to the time already enjoyed may be deducted.
9. Points
ComicSwap awards points for certain actions within the app, and some features of the free account use them up. Points have no monetary value: they are not money, they cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred or claimed, and we may change how they work or withdraw them if we detect fraudulent use.
10. Suspension and termination
We may remove content, or suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the Community guidelines, and do so without prior notice when the breach is serious or affects the safety of other people. These decisions are always taken by a person after reviewing the case, not by an automated system. We will tell you the reason and the measure taken, and you can appeal by writing to soporte@comicswap.app; we will review your reply and answer you.
You can close your account whenever you want by following the instructions on the Delete account page.
11. Availability of the service
We make a reasonable effort to keep ComicSwap working, but it is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of errors, and we may modify, suspend or withdraw features. If a paid feature disappears permanently, we will stop charging for it.
12. Liability
We are liable for damage we cause through wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and for any damage that the law does not allow to be excluded. Beyond that, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for:
- Agreements, payments, shipments and incidents between users, as set out in section 3.
- The conduct of other users or the content they publish.
- The accuracy of comic data obtained from external sources.
- Loss of data caused by failures of third-party services beyond our control.
Nothing above limits the rights granted to you by consumer protection law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version at this address with its date, and when the change is significant we will let you know within the app. If you continue to use ComicSwap after the notice, we will understand that you accept them.
14. Applicable law and complaints
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may go to the courts of your place of residence, and you keep all the rights granted to you by the law of your country of residence in the European Union.
