Records that fill themselves in
With the ISBN, the record usually arrives complete. We look it up in five bibliographic sources, three of them official: DILVE, the database fed by Spanish publishers; the Biblioteca Nacional de España; and the Bibliothèque nationale de France. That is why Spanish and French editions usually come up at the first attempt.
For Italian and English-language editions we rely on Google Books and Open Library, so more often you will need to complete a record by hand. The same goes for older material and for many American single issues. When we do not find reliable data, we leave the field empty. We would rather do that than slip you a wrong detail.
Series in order, gaps in sight
ComicSwap tells volumes, tomes and issue numbers apart, including specials, decimal issues and the different editions of the same series. That is why you see every series in order and know straight away which issues you are missing.
Every copy, with its condition
For each comic you can note its condition, add photos and decide whether it is available for sale, for swap, or neither. Only what you mark as available is visible to others.
What you are looking for
Add the issues you are missing to your list. When someone makes one available, we let you know.
If you arrive with a lot
If you keep your collection in a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV), you can import it in one go from the web app. You check a preview and the duplicates before saving. How to import (page in Spanish).
